When I first started producing music and refining my sound, I hesitated to share anything that wasn’t a fully polished, original track. But I eventually realized something important: sharing the music I’m in the process of learning from is just as meaningful as releasing the final product.

You’ll find practice covers, unfinished instrumental ideas, raw vocal recordings, and experiments in sound design. These “in-progress” pieces might not be ready for a proper release yet, but they’re an honest reflection of where I am right now in my creative journey.
Why I Share Practice Covers First
Practicing covers on SoundCloud gives me a low-pressure way to:
- Explore new ideas — playing with arrangements, chords, and sounds before committing to my own originals
- Build confidence — experimenting publicly helps me own the process of creation, not just the result
- Get feedback — hearing what resonates with listeners offers direction and inspiration
- Document progress — I can look back months later and see how my technique, creativity, and mixing skills have grown
These recordings aren’t meant to be perfect. They’re meant to be real — moments of experimentation captured in time.
The Value of Temporary Tracks
Some of these might be labeled as:
- Instrumental sketches

- Rough mixes and early arrangements
They’re all temporary — placeholders, if you will — until the originals come together. But they serve a purpose: to show the work behind the work.
Hiding all the unfinished pieces until I release something “perfect” wasn’t helping me grow. But by sharing early and often, I’ve learned more, connected with more people, and kept myself creatively accountable.
