What is oMusic Laboratory?

oMusic Laboratory is a collection of free web-based musical tools made with love by Raycille Dimla (web developer).

Currently, there are three versions of the logo:

Version 2 of the logo was made by Rose Dimla (my eldest sister). If you are also interested in her works, please check her portfolio or LinkedIn profile.

The rough version started when I was in college. The improvement of the tool continues in the following years. I tried to finish the Guitar/Ukulele Scale Generator tool (you may see it here), so I can add the source code as a solid foundation for studying web development. I was hoping it would help me land my first job as a web developer (which it did). I’m not a pro musician and don’t have any formal education about music; I’m just extremely fond of sounds, songs, and music in general. This project allowed me to study and practice both of my interests (musical instruments and programming) simultaneously.

Eventually, I began designing the tool with simplicity and efficiency in mind; ideal for beginners who also don’t have formal education in music and are just starting their musical journey.

Not much user traffic is going on there. But hey! if you want to check, please go ahead and give them a try! 😶‍🌫️ https://www.omusiclab.com/

Chie DimlaIt's always been about the patterns, a journey to become predictable. To be a reliable technical person is what I’m pursuing; Making music fuels my soul — a reason to keep going.
